Heating and Cooling Tips

  • Make sure to change your furnace filter every month or every 6-12 months if you have a media-type filter. Dirt and dust can cause furnace parts to clog making the furnace to work harder. Without dealing with this issue it can cause the furnace to break down.
  • Vacuum registers and vents on a regular basis
  • Keep furniture and drapes away from registers, radiators, and heaters
  • Keep the fan set to “on” instead of “auto” on your thermostat, this will allow constant and consistent airflow
  • Have your heating and cooling system checked by a technician once a year to make sure the systems are up and working properly
